Volunteer: CA International MarathonThe SMRC will staff first aid stations along the 26.2 mile route of the CA International Marathon from Folsom to the CA State Capitol. Sutter Health is the lead medical provider for the event this year and they will staff the aid station in front of Sutter Hospital and the finish line medical tent. SMRC and CERT will staff on-course stations 1-15, relay, and 17. SMRC members will not be staffing the finish line/medical tent this year. Medical and non-medical members are welcome at this fun and inspirational event. The SMRC supports this event annually and many members sign up each year so be sure to sign up early. Please complete steps 1 and 2 to register. You need to register through Get Connected to get your hours served and you need to register through Race Safe to be added to the official aid station schedule. Note that shift locations and start times and shift hours will vary according to what aid station you sign up to staff. Please add the actual shift and location to your calendars once you receive your assignment (around Thanksgiving) and when you submit your hours, update to the actual hours served. 1) Sign up through Get Connected to be on our SMRC roster for the event to be eligible to get your volunteer hours; and 2) Sign up through race safe to select your preferred location (on-course stations 1-15, relay, and 17) and fill out required info to volunteer for this Sacramento Runner's Association event.
