Volunteer: Medical Team for Wildland Fire Workforce Capacity TestsEMTs and other medical professionals needed to staff early morning Wildland Fire Workforce Capacity Tests for AmeriCorps NCCC. Wildland fire workforce candidates will participate in a stress test walk wearing a weighted pack. SMRC medical professionals are needed to monitor participants before, during and after the race and treat medical needs. Please note early start times for this outdoor event. Volunteer: 5th Annual Run to Foster HopeJoin a team of SMRC members to help staff a first aid station for a 5K charity run/walk at William Land Park (Village Green section) on Sat. 6/13. Medical volunteers and non-medical with a CPR card are invited to join the team for this nice outdoor event. Report time is 6:45 with a set up by 7:15. It is recommended that our team arrives at 6:30 to find parking and walk to our area. Parking may be competitive if arriving much later than 6 a.m. Street parking may be available on Sutterville Road. Our first aid station will be set up by the race start and finish line in Land Park near the corner of Freeport and Sutterville Road. Race is along the 19th, 14th, 18th Street loop.
